| Trip to the Fuling orphanage |
This is a book written by a foreigner about the city of Fuling. Though only a few years old, the book is out of date in that a lot of money has been poured into Fuling. This has to do with the effects of the Three Gorges Dam (about 500km to the east) and changes in taxation when Chongqing (with Fuling and other cities) became a special city. A "special city", as our guides called it, is like our Washington D.C. Technically, they call it a municipality. We think Amazon.com should use Eric's personalizing technique by including the thumb.

This shows our general route from Chongqing to Fuling. This map is out dated since Fuling is no longer in the Sichuan Providence but is in the Chongqing special city.

Yep, they have their fair share of accidents and roll-overs as well. Though for how crowded the cities are, it is surprising the low number of accidents we saw. But that could be since they drive slower in the cities than we do in the states.

Toll booth outside of Chongqing for the road to take us to Fuling. Fuling is about two hours east of our hotel.

Zachary took this picture of our bus driver. He drove us everywhere in Chongqing.

The excitement of going to her old home is too much for Renée. Unlike Zachary, a ride in a vehicle seems to put Renée to sleep. Nigh-night.

The first of many tunnels.
This was a long tunnel.
A very long tunnel, indeed. Zachary is scoping out the tunnel.
Another tunnel.
On the back side of this tunnel, we immediately crossed a river.
We crossed the river with this bridge. In the Chongqing area, it is a fairly famous bridge.

Tina joins Renée in taking a nap. Tina loves cuddling Renée.

Zachary on the bus to Fuling. He is taking a break from playing with the two other children, Tucker and Kendyl. Ok, break time is over.
