On the road between Chongqing and Fuling, captured some photos of the countryside to show Renée when she gets older.

Our guide said that the more stories or nicer the farmers home is, the better off the farmer is doing. In other words, the status symbol is the house, not the car.
|

The trees on the hills are orange trees. Chongqing is the major producer of oranges in China. The ones we have had taste good.
|
|
This farmer appears to be doing well, financially.
|
|
Since it is very hilly here and the farming is all manual labor, we are glad we do not have to till those fields. But then again, we have yet to see a fat farmer.

Rice fields. They will not start growing rice until March, since it is still too cold in Chongqing.

The toll road we are driving on is lined with trees, making it difficult to take pictures of the countryside. Quite a few photos of streaking trees were tossed.

Chongqing is in a VERY hilly region on China. So much so that I did not see a single bicycle there.
